USA

US Nannies working in the US do not need a working Visa.

U.S families who are seeking to hire a non-U.S should apply for the Au Pair J-1 visa.

Australia

To work in Australia, nannies must have a working holiday visa. This type of Visa allows a stay of up to 12 months from the date of first entry to Australia, regardless of whether or not you spend the whole time in Australia. Visa may be applied for online:

There is also the BUNAC work or study program that allow visitors to stay up to 4 months in Australia.

Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Au pairs from these countries do not need a work permit, but must register with the Irish Police.
